Top 3 Exercises to Increase Vertical Leap



Are you an athlete trying to increase your vertical leap? Do you enjoy sports like basketball and want to be able to jump higher and run faster? If so read on for the top 3 exercises to increase your vertical leap ability.

The first exercise that is used help increase your vertical leap is called the box jump. Basically you build or find a box that will support your weight. You want this box to be big enough to challenge you to have to jump higher than normal to get up on top of it. This exercise challenges you to jump higher and helps build your jumping muscles.

The second exercise that is used to help increase your vertical leap is called the leap and bound. Basically this is like a running skip. You will start on your right foot and push off. You want to try to jump as high as possible and land on your right foot. As you land, without taking any more steps, push off with your left foot and jump as high as you can. Keep doing this over and over for about 50 yards or so.

The third exercise that is used to increase you vertical leap is called the explosive burst. This is just a huge jump. You will bend at the knees and explode off of both legs and jump as high as you possibly can. Do this over and over and you will increase your leaping capability.
